McKayla Rose Maroney has retired as an American singer and artistic gymnast. She took home the gold and silver medals in vault contests, representing both the American gymnastic team and the Fierce Five in the Summer Olympics of 2012. Early years. McKayla Rose Maroney, daughter of Erin (died in the year 2019) and Mike Maroney, was born on December 9th, 1995, Aliso Viejo. McKayla comes from Irish Catholic heritage. Her three siblings include Tarynn, Kav and Tarynn. She attended homeschooling to become an elite gymnast. Maroney said that "when I was younger I would watch Tarzan and then run through the streets on all fours. My mother was always like"I must put this child in gymnastics. Lauren Drain was a member of Westboro Baptist Church and wrote Banished in 2013 that recounts her experiences, such as being kicked out of the church. Lauren has been wed with David Kagan, who is also a fitness model, from August 2013. Aria Skye Kagan (born December 29th 2019,) is their daughter. Lauren briefly lived in Topeka by herself, but she was plagued with the recollections of her being kicked out of the church and her family. Her parents, two sisters and brother were part of the church, but broke all ties with the church.
