tony gonzalez-5-1024x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was conceived in Torrance on February 27th the year 1976. He was raised in Southern California, and was a student at Huntington Beach High School where the school was where he played at the top on both the basketball and football teams. Gonzalez excelled at these activities at University of California, Berkeley. He was instrumental in leading the football team to 1996 Aloha Bowl. There, Gonzalez set the record for his school for receptions with nine and beat it. Gonzalez later led the basketball team to Sweet 16 in the NCAA basketball tournament a few weeks after. Then he quit school to join the 1997 NFL Draft. Gonzalez was chosen at number 13 overall by the Kansas City Chiefs. Gonzalez was part of the Chiefs from 1997 until 2008. Gonzalez was transferred to the Atlanta Falcons. In his second season in the NFL the team never managed to catch less than 59 passes in a season.
